Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the world’s biggest phone show. This year it was going on from February 27 to March 2, at Barcelona. Many of 2017’s high-profile handsets have been announced over the course of this show. And after the wrap of the show, it’s time to look back on the week & find the all those hot mobile phones of MWC 2017.
Here are the top phone launches from MWC 2017:
LG launches LG G6 which is a pretty much all screen phone. It is possibly a game-changing phone from LG. They provided simply a solid handset. It has a great screen with Water-resistant body.
It got a Snapdragon 821 processor with 32GB of onboard storage. MicroSD support up-to-2TB expansion option thrust into the SIM tray.
The 18:9 screen, (which is branded ‘FullVision’) is created by LG’s own screen division, LG Display. It extends the QHD resolution of its predecessor, making it ever more widescreen to boost the pixel count to 2880 x 1440 and uses LCD technology rather than OLED.
There is a dual 13 MP camera on the rear & 5 MP on the front. The battery has been increased to 3300mAh within the slimmer 7.9mm frame – and we think it’s the right move.
The price & release date of this phone is yet to be announced. Find your favorite LG phone from here.
Sony launches 2 new phones at MWC 2017- Xperia XZ Premium & Xperia XZs.
Xperia XZ Premium is a strong phone with excellent innovation in the screen. It has a big 5.5” 4K display with HDR, Android 7.1.1, the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset, and top-end water resistance. They all come with the best tech from Sony’s camera, TV, and audio departments. So we hope to get best from it.
The Xperia XZs is the smaller half of the new XZ Premium with a 5.2” display. It’s slightly lower in spec and much more compact. In terms of the difference between the XZ Premium and XZs, it’s mostly the screen, chipset, design and battery size. That sounds like a lot, but in side-by-side testing, the user interface and functionality are pretty similar.
Both are being expected to release in ‘late spring’. Their prices are yet to be revealed. Find your favorite Sony phone from here.
Blackberry KeyOne has been unveiled at MWC 2017. It is a phone that’s likely to excite BlackBerry fans only. It’s full physical keyboard with Android 7.0 Nougat will interest the hardcore fans of Blackberry.
The phone has a 4.5” full HD display with 3:2 aspect ratio and 434ppi. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s 2.0 GHz Snapdragon 625 processor. The powerful processor is coupled with Adreno 506 graphics processor, 3 GB RAM, and 32 GB ROM.
It also has microSD support up to 2TB. The handset has a 12 MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash that supports HDR and is capable of recording 4K video at 30fps. It also has an 8 MP front camera with selfie flash and the ability to record 1080p/30 video.
The full QWERTY keyboard doubles as a trackpad for scrolling through emails and web pages or when you need to use predictive typing. TCL has committed to working with BlackBerry to send out monthly security patches for the KEYone. The handset has the biggest non-removable battery ever in a BlackBerry smartphone – 3,505mAh.

Huawei launches 2 phones in MWC 2017 – Huawei P10 & Huawei P10 Plus.
The Huawei P10 is a limited upgrade with a few minor tweaks from its predecessor- P9. It has a 5.1” QHD display. There’s a Kirin 960 chipset – the powerful processor as well as 4GB of RAM to power it all. It has 64 GB of internal storage. There is also microSD support up to 256GB.
Huawei has included its Emotion UI 5.1 overlay on top of Android 7 software for the P10. It has a 20 Mp rear camera & on the front of the phone is an 8MP selfie camera. Battery capacity for the phone is 3,200mAh.
The Huawei P10 Plus is a bigger, slightly better version of the slick P10. It has 5.5” QHD display that certainly looks improved over the smaller P10’s 1080p screen. Despite its larger size, the phone rests smoothly in the hand and doesn’t feel like too much of a stretch to hold one-handed.
The P10 Plus contains the Kirin 960 – the same chipset that appears in the P10. The P10 Plus will be available in multiple configurations: 4 GB RAM with 128 GB of storage and 6 GB RAM with 128 GB of storage.
Both phones are expected to be released in March. You won’t be able to buy this phone in the US, and it’s not currently clear why the company isn’t launching the P10 there. As for price, it’s yet to be revealed.

Motorola has a good reputation in the budget phone market. Now it’s likely to be furthered by the Moto G5 & Moto G5 Plus.
It is a metal phone at an affordable price with the innovative fingerprint sensor on the front. The Moto G5 is using a more budget-friendly Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset & runs with Android Nougat and Google Assistant.
The 1.4 GHz octa-core processor should be fast enough for most tasks. It has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage on the inside with a microSD card slot. Moto G5 rear camera is 13 MP with phase detection autofocus, the front camera sticks with a 5MP wide-angle lens. The battery is 2,800mAh.
Moto G5 Plus is ‘plus’ in more ways than G5. It has a 5.2” display with Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset. It features a 12 MP rear-facing camera & 3,000mAh battery.
Globally, Moto is releasing configurations with 2 or 3 GB of RAM, but seems to be going with a slightly different offering in the US: one configuration with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage for $229 and another with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of onboard memory for $299. Moto G5 will not release in the USA.
